My morning routine is very simple. I wake up about My morning routine is very simple. I wake up about 90min before my kids usually wake up so I can have some ‘me’ time.

I sit outside and get some morning sun ☀️ and meditate.

I then have coffee ☕️ and exercise, followed by breakfast with the kids and then off to start my day.

I’d love to hear what your morning routines consist of, let me know in the comments below 👇

What can we do to help our interventions and treat What can we do to help our interventions and treatments hold in-between client sessions?

Movement practice is the obvious answer and as long as the movement maintains balance in the body and doesn’t exceed any tolerances of the tissues, it’s a great tool to use.

However, we can also look at function of the body on a more fundamental level. We are composed of piezo electric material. From DNA to the Pineal gland, the structure of the body across multiple scales produces electricity when pressure is applied.

This is extremely useful therapeutically.
Electrons act as antioxidants in the body and can be stimulated to release locally and systemically. When we measured to see what happens when we tap on bones, we noted an increase in body voltage. In any electrical system, voltage is the capacity to do work. Where dysfunction exists, increasing voltage in local tissues or across the entire body allows for healing to occur.

The AMN calibrate system is a tapping modality. It’s not some unexplained magic, it’s utilisation of the Piezoelectric effect.

Tapping on the bones above and below a site of dysfunction will drive electrons into the local area which will aid in maintaining the function of that area. You may also notice an increase in ROM and potentially muscle recruitment to boot.

The body holds a record of what has influenced and The body holds a record of what has influenced and impacted it on multiple scales. The deeper we know how to look, the better chance we have at helping people resolve what they currently suffer. The combination of history, listening to another’s story, observation and the unbiased application of muscle testing can provide such insight, identifying imbalances and their relevance. We don’t diagnose with this approach. We’re more than happy to rely on Dr’s to provide that information. Rather we compliment movement and lifestyle recommendations with a neuro-energetic approach to healing which aids in the resolution of dysfunctions, improving quality of life and health. #energybody #corrective #preventativemedicine #correctiveexercise #neuroplasticity
Movement can be therapeutic in a number of ways. S Movement can be therapeutic in a number of ways. Simply understanding the action and influence of our stretch receptors allow us to choose motions which will help in ‘facilitating’ the muscular system.

If a muscle is facilitated, it has enhanced potential to contract. This is great for improving ROM, strength and in some cases reducing pain signals.

A brain based approach, in part works by focusing a little bit of time on stimulating ‘high order systems’.

Why? Because these systems have direct influence over the ability of the muscles of the body to contract.

When the muscular system is ‘facilitated’, it has a higher potential for recruitment and thus can improve performance, which is the opposite of increasing injury risk.

A brain based approach isn’t rocket science but it does involve a new vocabulary and anatomical knowledge.

These three simple drills can be performed daily around your workouts, or for a couple of minutes during every hour you spend sitting at a desk, staring at a computer screen.

In particular, bouncing on the spot and stimulating the vestibular system (your inner ear balance system) is a great way to offset our seated lifestyles by interacting with ‘the gravity vector’, frequently throughout the day.

Let me know what you think..
The old way of thinking about Corrective Exercise The old way of thinking about Corrective Exercise is that you

a) First identify if a muscle group is under-active (inhibited) or overactive (over facilitated)
b) Prescribe exercises to address those issues.

If it's inhibited, usually the exercises that are recommended are isolated and specific, and they are focused on getting the muscle to contract and relax a bunch of times to get it stronger.

If it's over facilitated or 'tight' then stretching protocols are usually prescribed.

Seems fairly logical right?

But there's a huge piece missing with this approach, and it's so simple that it can be covered in one word...

WHY?!

Why is it over-facilitated or inhibited?

Exercise alone, never addresses that question. All it does it work on the symptom.

Muscles are DUMB. Like meathead, nightclub bouncer dumb.

If a muscle is over-facilitated or ‘chronically tight’ or on the flip side, if a muscle just isn’t pulling its weight and won’t fire properly…

THERE’S ALWAYS A REASON!

Muscles simply follow orders, contracting and relaxing in response to electrical signals.

Signals that come from the Brain and Nervous System.

In fact, if you took a muscle out of the body and disconnected it from the nerves innervating the motor units that control the muscle, you’ve essentially got yourself a nice slab of people steak. 🤢

So...

If you're offering corrective exercise, and you're not directly assessing the brain and providing neurologically driven stimulations, you're missing the bigger picture.

If you're interest in learning how to assess and interact with the Brain, we're running a 5-day virtual workshop
